Hola Familia & Amigos,
Matt and I made it Colombia last night and are settling in. I am feeling a little altitude sickness but I guess that is expected at this elevation. The hotel we are staying at is very nice and we have met two other American families. One from Florida adopting their first son and another from Minnesota back for the second time adopting a little girl. The children are both under the age 12 months so they will be close to Michael's age. We have not heard yet what time we will be going to get him but we are hoping to meet him tomorrow. This morning we walked around the neighborhood with another family and they showed us the bank, grocery store, etc... It was nice because it is a holiday here and it was not crowded. The weather here is very nice
and many people are wearing shorts. Bellow are some pictures from yesterday and today. We hope all of you are doing well and are so glad you are getting to share in this experience with us.
Luv, Kristin

Kristen & Matt, HOW AMAZING! I can not wait to read all the posts to come and see the pictures of your ENTIRE family!!!
ReplyDeleteI want to share with you a verse that I cling to during most of my "events/mission trips" that I organize or plan... It's usually a verse that I cling to towards the end of the journey or right before the event is to take place...
"Stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes!" -1 Samuel 12:16
So often, I plan and organize and prepare and get ready and I"m usually so busy doing all these things, that I miss sometimes what God is doing around me. But right before the "big moment" (the people arrive, we get on the plane, the event starts) I stand STILL and just sigh in absolute amazement of all that God has been doing around me and then thank him for what He is about to do.
I feel like taking a deep breath for you and just waiting to see this GREAT thing that He is about to do.
Prayers are being lifted up for you 3 constantly.
I just can't wait!
Blessings,
Jamie Davis
We are so excited for you. We are praying for a safe and special journey for your family. With all the planning, and preparing, and packing, and worrying, and running around to complete paperwork you had to do - God makes the impossible - possible. How amazing!
