Court # One

So we got assigned a new court yesterday after over a week of waiting.  The best part is that the court has a very good reputation with adoptions!  We are so grateful that this court will hopefully be our ticket out of here this month.  We thank you all and ask that you continue to PRAY.  This journey has never been easy and we are still relying on our faith through the whole thing.  The judge of this court is known to like to celebrate with cake and coke on the day of the final adoption decree.  I will buy him three if he let's us leave ;)

Other than that we haven't been up to anything new.  Michael was sick all last week with a cold so we never left the hotel.  It has actually been quite chilly here.  Today looks a little warmer so we will probably adventure out.  The hotel is full again with six families total staying here.  We miss the original crew we got here with but are keeping in touch via email with many of them.  It is interesting to me that none of the new families are American.  All of the families are from Europe.  I am not sure why that is but just interesting to say the least.  We hope all of you are doing well.

Love,
Kristin & Mikey

  1. As you read on facebook, we have begun our adoption 101 classes. These are not required for international adoption but we have felt that through taking these it will give us a good support group in our home town. We are the only couple that will face international adoption while the others are focusing on adopting in the Heartland area. Needless to say, when I got your message, came to the blog and got all caught up... I just want to apologize for being so busy that I've not realized what all was happening. The last post I had read was when you all had the celebration at the facility. But I'm back on board and daily praying! I should have never stopped, but God knows our hearts.
I want you to remember this... God knows our hearts and desires and wants to see us happy and joyful. And I fully believe that while this situation is not ideal in our eyes He is in control every step of the way. If you need something, you let me know. If you need to email and vent, you do it! If you need someone to pray over you (via email or even the phone) you call!
I know I haven't met Mikey but I know one day I will because you guys will be back in the states in no time! I love you guys. Keep your head up... stay in the Word. Your family, your friends and I can always give you words of encouragement but God will speak to you through His word. He will reveal His plans for you in the Word.
BTW, can you post when the court date is? Or email it? I didn't see it in the last blog post.

    Praying faithfully,
    Jamie
